Judy Edens
Activities Director
Meet our Activity Director, Judy Edens! Judy is our very important Director of Fun! Keeping our residents active and social is very important and Judy makes it fun, so people want to come down to Activities. She is always down to learn new games and crafts and is open to changing things up on our calendar so everyone can enjoy them. One of Judy’s many talents is her decorating skills; since Judy started, Woodridge has never been so festive! Every holiday or passing season, she brings out new decorations to liven up the place.
She has two amazing and stubborn kids: Braxton and Daniel, who are her pride and joy. She also (currently) has an escape artist dog, Casper, who likes to go on adventures. Some of her favorite things to do in her downtime are playing video games like Red Dead Redemption, Fortnite and Harvest Moon. Judy also enjoys reading and her current favorite is The Kite Runner.
Judy has a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Governors University, and she thought she was going to be a teacher, but decided she wanted to work with seniors instead.
When she’s with the residents, she loves doing morning exercise and those afternoons when residents decide they want to “ignore what’s on the calendar” and do something different! Many checkers tournaments and games of dominoes happen on afternoons like that.
“I want to try everything; I want to try even though I could fail”
